Who is RNA?

RNA Medical is a developer and supplier of quality control materials and related products for blood gas, critical blood analyte, and diabetes care applications. The RNA product line includes daily QC materials, calibration verification and linearity products, and Mylar®-wrapped glass capillary blood collection tubes. Other RNA offerings include innovative products for point of care.

What products does RNA offer?
RNA has a wide variety of QC materials for the laboratory. For daily QC, RNA offers aqueous, dye-based, and bovine blood-based products for use with blood gas, critical blood analyte, CO-Oximetry, and diabetes care instrumentation. Products for calibration verification and linearity include blood gas and critical blood analyte, CO-Oximetry, and POC glucose.

The RNA Medical PeerQC statistical service program for QC customers offers true on-line data submission and reporting options in real-time. Web-based graphing and reporting options are also available for calibration verification controls, eliminating manual data calculation and hand graphing.

In addition to QC products. RNA recently introduced heparinized glass capillary collection tubes with a puncture-resistant Mylar® covering. Safe-Wrap Blood Collection Tubes reduce the risks associated with broken glass while at the same time offer the preferred collection material for capillary blood gas samples. Closure devices for the Safe-Wrap tubes are also available.

RNA recently introduced a new control for the Bayer DCA 2000 and 2000+ Analyzers. We also offer other controls for the point of care market as well as a blood-lead testing analyzer.
